Amarillo Police Department Fundraiser Set For Wednesday

35 year Amarillo Police Department veteran Sgt. Don Moore has done much to help our community.  Now he needs help from our community.

Sgt. Moore has bone cancer and is currently taking chemotherapy.  The financial cost of treating this disease is immense.  To help raise funds for his care the Amarillo Police Department is hosting a fundraiser this Wednesday.

Starting at 11am this Wednesday at 3rd & Fillmore you can dig in to hamburgers and hot dogs for a small $7 donation.  They'll be serving food until it is gone.  There will also be a silent auction and desserts for sale.  Obviously you can simply make a donation.

There is an account set up for him at Amarillo National Bank if you'd like to contribute that way.

Also during the fundraiser on Wednesday the Coffee Memorial Bloodmobile will be at the event from 9am - 2pm and you can donate in Sgt Moore's name.  Then grab some grub and power back up!
