Sunday night Amarillo Police arrested two after pair tried to evade police.

A police officer on patrol recognized a black Ford Crown Victoria as matching the description of a vehicle that had evaded police on a previous occasion.  When the officer attempted to pull the car over it fled from the patrol car.

After a short chase the driver parked the car in the front yard of the residence at 3012 Westhaven Drive.  The driver entered the house and was trying to make his way out the back door when he was tased and subdued by police.

The driver was identified as Taylor Jujuan Meander, 23 and along with the charges he's facing from this event he was also wanted on eight traffic warrants.

A female passenger, Estlyn Shakil Reed, 21 was also arrested for outstanding warrants in Potter County.

Both were booked into Randall County.
