West Texas A&M basketball teams came close to a sweep with UTPB in Odessa on Tuesday but had to settle for a split of a Lone Star Conference doubleheader.

The #4 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M remained unbeaten as they topped the Falcons of UT Permian Basin 75-48 in Odessa. WT's Lexy Hightower had 17 points, Deleyah Harris 15 and Madison Parker 12 points in the win. The Lady Buffs are now 8-0 on the season and 3-0 in the Lone Star Conference.

The 8th ranked WT men’s team lost their first game of the season to #13 UT-Permian Basin 106-100.  The Buffs fell behind by 26 points before mounting a furious comeback. Senior David Chavlovich had a team-high 30 points with 24 in the second half and junior Ryan Quaid had a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds but the Buffs fall to 8-1 overall and 2-1 in the LSC.
