United Supermarkets announced on Monday that they will pull all Blue Bell ice cream products.

Blue Bell has issued a recall on products produced in its Brenham, Texas facility after they were linked to confirmed cases of Listeria in Kansas.

So the dog days of summer are here and we have been blessed by the cooler temperatures.  Unfortunately the mid 90's -100's have fallen upon us.  So one of the best ways to cool off on a hot day is ice cream.  So I was curious, who has the best sundaes in Amarillo?

Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack...and a three-pound ice cream sundae.

Whether in the height of summer of the dead of winter, ice cream is always an appropriate treat.  Provided the ice cream inside matches what's on the outside package.

Do remember Makin’ Whoopie Pie? You could buy that Ben & Jerry’s flavor, which was chocolate ice cream augmented by marshmallows and devil’s food cooks, 10 years ago. Unfortunately, the concoction didn’t prove popular enough and the Vermont-based ice cream makers laid Makin’ Whoopie Pie to rest in 2003. Literally.
