Whether in the height of summer of the dead of winter, ice cream is always an appropriate treat.  Provided the ice cream inside matches what's on the outside package.

Southwest Ice Cream Specialties is voluntarily recalling some of it's Dulce De Leche flavor ice cream due to a labeling mishap.  The ice cream is sold under the ShurFine brand.

A batch of their Praline Pecan Ice Cream was loaded into containers meant for the Dulce De Leche flavor.  Fortunately it is easy to tell if you bought a mislabeled batch because the lids do reflect that praline pecan is inside.

This could be problematic for the company and consumers due to potential allergies associated with the praline pecan ice cream which includes wheat, soy, and of course, pecans.

The ice cream was distributed to Texas amongst other states.
