Southwest Airlines Cutting Flights To Amarillo

Southwest airlines is no longer encumbered by the Wright Amendment, which restricted how many non-stop flights could be flown out of Dallas Love Field.  Unfortunately this means less flight coming into Rich Husband Airport.

The Wright Amendment has been in place for 35 years and was intended to help protect Dallas Fort Worth International from competition.

The good news for Amarillo travelers is their options once getting to Dallas will be greatly enhanced since Southwest can fly non-stop to many more destinations than they could previously.
