China has launched it's first space lab module into orbit.  The Tiangong 1 module is expected to orbit for two years.

The module is primarily a test platform for docking and experimentation both manned and unmanned.

Another craft will launch in November to dock with the module.  It will be China's first docking in orbit.

China is only the third nation after the United States and Russia to independently launch humans into orbit.
