Amarillo police arrested two teenagers Saturday on charges of vandalism.

The APD was called to the 1900 block of South Van Buren at around 10:30pm.  At the scene officers found damage to several vehicles caused by a BB gun.  Vandals were shooting out the windows of cars parked on or near the street.

While officers were investigating a vehicle entered the area matching the description of a vehicle reported to be involved another vandalism incident on Friday.  The vehicle quickly tried to leave the scene.  An officer pulled the vehicle over and was given consent to search the vehicle.

During the search officers found several CO2 cartridges, two BB/pellet guns and a supply of BB's.  The 16-year-old driver was arrested and booked into the Youth Center of the High Plains for criminal mischief.  A 17-year-old passenger was also arrested for criminal mischief and booked into Potter County.  The charges are state felonies according to the APD.
