Watson – DIY

"Jeopardy!" & IBM Man V. Machine Press Conference

Did you see IBM’s Watson on “Jeopardy”?  Do you have a soldiering iron and a bunch of spare computer parts lying around?

Then perhaps you could take on the ultimate Do-it-yourself project and make your very own Watson Jr.

I was somewhat unimpressed with the whole Watson on Jeopardy deal.  Computers have been besting humans for years!  But the more you dig into the architecture of Watson the more impressive the hunk of hard wired circuits becomes.  Would be a great addition to any party.

Some guy smarter than you or me over at IBM has put up a page with instructions on how to develop a home version of Watson. I’m not up to it but if you are we’d love to hear about your progress.
