You know the presidential election is coming.  You know it is your civic duty to vote.  Did you know you still have time to register?

The general election is November 8th.  Next Tuesday is the deadline in Texas for those wishing to cast a ballot for president to file their registration paperwork with the registrar's office.

Not only will ballots be cast for president but seven Amarillo bond issues will also be decided.  If you would like to vote and are not currently registered you must register in the county you reside in by Tuesday, October 11th.

Here's a list of important dates regarding the election:

Tuesday, October 11th: Last day to register to vote.

Monday, October 24th: First day of in person early voting.

Friday, October 28th: Last day ballot requests by mail will be answered.

Friday, November 4th:  Last day of in person early voting.

Tuesday, November 8th:  Election day, last day ballots by mail will be accepted unless an overseas deadline applies.
