The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon Prefers Coffee

Another Saturday of buying, selling and trading is behind us.  It's radio alchemy and we do it every weekend.

It's the show where listeners call in to attempt, for the most part, to sell their unwanted or unneeded items.  As always you are invited to call in or just tune in and listen.  We promise you'll enjoy the show that works for you.

Next Saturday we will be celebrating seven years of bringing you The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon.  It's hard to believe but we've been doing it since 2007!

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their items.  Sometimes it is topical, other times just silly.  This week we went with a beverage themed question.  We were curious what your preference was from three standard and classic drinks.

What's your favorite, coffee, tea or milk?

Milk 3

Coffee won the day.  Personally I've never had so much as a sip of coffee.  I got into some coffee candy when I was young and it ruined coffee for me for life.  And milk?  I just can't seem to get the image of a nasty cow udder out of my head when I try to drink milk.  I just don't like it much.

Which isn't to say I don't like cheese.  I've been known to eat nothing but cheese.  I don't know why the milk bothers me but the cheese is perfectly fine.  That's part of the idiosyncrasy that comes with being me.

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of the program, I always bring you a special rule #6.  It changes every week and is usually inspired by something that has happened to me over the previous week.  Sometimes it's poor man's observational humor.  This week I took a page from my high school days.

I had a friend I used to pass notes with everyday.  Sometimes we'd write three or four notes a day.  Ah, high school.  My friend was feeling a little low one day and I came up with a silly phrase for her.  The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon and Rule #6 were made for silly phrases.

Rule #6: Keep your chin up and your nose low.

It's always important to stay positive and to remain humble.
