Texas Considering Gun Training For Teachers

Texas lawmakers are are discussing the issue of armed teachers in schools.

Under the plan the state would pay for for school employees to learn to carry a gun at work.  The proposal is under consideration in Austin.

The bill would apply to charter schools and public school districts that do not already have armed guards.  The bill would also require the state to provide training for two employees per campus.
