Not many people are familiar with the Tesla P85D, which is a shame. The car is an absolute beast -- 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds, 691 horsepower, all-wheel drive, dual-motor ... you get the idea. Its defining feature, what separates it most from all the others, is that it's electric. And many people still just don't buy the fact that a non-gasoline-powered automobile could be what you call a "supercar."

The jump from standing still to 60-plus mph catches every passenger off-guard, likely because without the sound of a revving engine, it really does seem to come out of nowhere. Their faces look like people's faces do when riding a roller coaster.

But just take a look at how these people react (please excuse the asterisks; the P85D really brings out the pottymouth in people):

  • "Holy sh**! ... That was insane."
  • "Oh my God! No way! No way! Oh my God!"
  • "G**damn, that motherf***er accelerates!"
  • "You can't f***in' do that to people -- you gotta give people fair warning!"

The best part? The setting for the Tesla P85D's bonkers acceleration is called Insane Mode. That Elon Musk sure is crafty. And because surely you're curious, here's how the car looks from the outside, racing against a Dodge Hellcat (not to give away the ending, but it's not even close):
