Teen Girl Recalls Last Moments On Phone With Trayvon Martin Before He Was Killed By Neighborhood Watch Volunteer

Trayvon Martin was killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman on February 26th. This shooting has caused an outcry in the civil rights movement looking for justice.

A teen girl (friend of Martin’s) was on the phone with him the night of his death. He stated that there was a man following him. She told him to run, but he would not. He stated he would walk fast.

Shortly after that she reported hearing Martin say “Why are you following me?” and Zimmerman said “What are you doing here?”. After that the receiver fell to the ground and the line went dead.

Shortly after that, Zimmerman shot and killed Martin.
