Rick Husband Airport To Get $2.9 Million Improvements

The Amarillo City Council met yesterday to discuss the improvements and other issues.

It took the council less than a minute  to unanimously approve the grant.  Most of the grant will be used to purchase snowplows and other aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicles.

These latest grants represent the continuing effort to turn Rick Husband Airport into a first class facility.

It is hoped the new additions will help increase travelers both coming in and out of the airport.
