Potter County Commissioners voted Monday on upgrades for Potter County Memorial Stadium.

At the meeting commissioners were presented with a plan to upgrade both the ground and second level concession stands.  The estimated cost for the concession stand upgrades are over $40,000 each.  That's in addition to the over $80,000 budgeted for stadium maintenance.

The court approved a scaled back plan that will only fund the ground level concession stand.  The county has an agreement with the Southern Independent League to finance some stadium improvements before the upcoming season.

With the new M-PEV soon to be a reality the court felt it better to scale back improvements.  Although Texas AirHogs baseball is expected to be played for another two seasons at the aging Potter County Memorial Stadium, the facility will be redundant and obsolete once the M-PEV is completed.
