Potter County Lifts Burn Ban, Fireworks OK For Now

With the recent rains in our area conditions have been deemed wet enough to lift the burn ban for Potter County.

Lake Meredith has risen nearly three feet with the rain.  Officials expect more water to find its way to the lake with the ground currently saturated.

The rain has also prompted Potter County to not only lift the burn ban but also will allow aerial fireworks...for now.

As always the weather could get unusually dry between now and the holiday and could potentially be banned before the 4th.
