The New 940′s Oklahoma State Cowboys football team blew up Iowa State 31-10 but the victory came at a high cost.

Starting quarterback J.W. Walsh had a career night throwing for 415 yards before the night was over.  When the game ended, so did Walsh’s season.

Coach Mike Gundy announced yesterday that the quarterback suffered an injury during the first ten plays of the game.  Walsh played through the injury and didn’t realize he had a real problem until after the game.

Next up for Oklahoma State is freshman Wes Lunt who had one the job in spring training before suffering an injury in the third game of the season.  The Cowboys host TCU and you can hear the game on The New 940 at 12:30pm with a 2:30pm kickoff.
