Noise Complaint Leads To Discovery Of Marijuana Grow Operation In Amarillo Apartment
Late Friday night Amarillo Police responding to a noise complaint found a bit more.
At around 10pm Friday officers were dispatched to apartments near the intersection of Bell and West Amarillo Boulevard on a noise complaint. An officer knocked on the door and a man opened the apartment.
The officer smelled fresh marijuana emanating from the apartment. The officers could also see marijuana lying on the floor and on a nearby table.
The officer asked for and received permission to search the apartment. Police say inside they found a grow operation including several marijuana plants. A total of 3.15 pounds of pot was found along with several pieces of paraphernalia.
The occupant, 20-year-old Cody Wesley Brunson was arrested on several charges and taken to the Potter County Jail.
