Peyton Trueblood was killed two years ago in a fireworks accident while working for Texas, Musical Drama.  Her parents have requested their ensuing negligence lawsuit be dismissed.

It was the summer of 2015 when Trueblood was killed when the fireworks magazine she was working on exploded.  In September 2016, her parents filed suit against Texas, Musical Drama.  The lawsuit named four Texas Panhandle Heritage Foundation employees.  Production Manager Blaine Bertrand, Executive Director Kris Miller, Lead Pyrotechnician Dennis Rice and Pyrotechnician Rick Bertram. They claimed negligence, gross negligence and strict liability.

According to court documents, Trueblood's parents have agreed to dismiss the lawsuit against all parties.

The motion is awaiting a signature from a judge.  Terms of any settlement or of any agreement which prompted the dismissal were not disclosed.
