NASA may have shut down the shuttle program but that doesn’t mean they don’t need astronauts. And they are leaving NASA at an alarming rate.
NASA has 61 astronauts and is losing one every two months.
Although the shuttle isn’t flying any longer astronauts are needed for the International Space Station and to help test new vehicles currently in development.
