Man Wanted In Amarillo Homicide

Amarillo police are on the lookout for a suspect in a Monday homicide.Officers were called to The Granite apartments at 3308 Eddy Street around 7:15 Monday evening.  Officers discovered a stabbing victim in one of the apartments. Perry Hooten was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his wounds.  His son, 35-year-old Shawn Hooten is wanted for the murder and is currently on the run.

The Special Crimes unit is looking for anyone with information on the case and are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 374-4400 or the Special Crimes Unit at 378-9468
