It’s Time To Prepare For West Nile Season In The Panhandle

With the weather getting warmer it’s time to prepare for another round of West Nile.

North Texas was hardest hit last season by the virus but there were infections in our area, specifically in Deaf Smith and Carson counties.

Mosquito traps set in North Texas have already caught infected mosquitoes and the virus could soon make its reappearance here.

Last season supplies of repellent ran low and now is a good time to stock up.  It is also a good time to check around your property for areas that might hold standing water.  Eliminating those areas now before the mosquito population can take hold around your property will go a long way towards protecting your home and family.
