Illegal Dumping An Issue For Some Amarillo Residents

Some areas in Amarillo have become a magnet for illegal dumping.

From tires to furniture and worse have been piling up around some resident's alleyways.  It makes it tough on residents with a dumpster behind their house because a city ordinance deems homeowner's responsible for the alley on their property.

The proliferation of new thrift stores has been cited as part of the problem.  Dumpsters in these areas seem to collect more refuse than those behind residences or other type businesses.
