Hungry Amarillo Children To Be Fed This Summer Thanks To Grant

Summer can be a difficult time for the less fortunate children in our area.  Without school in session to provide feel meals, many children go hungry.

This summer will be a little better for some of those hungry children thanks to a grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture.  City commissioners approved a grant yesterday that will serve lunches to more than 4500 children between mid June to early August.  The meals will be distributed to sixty sites across the city.
