Historic Route 66 Heating up with the Grills and Grill Festival and The Great Race
Amarillo is full of great history. We are lucky enough to have a huge piece of history that runs right through town. We are on the Historic Route 66 route. That's one of the great things about Amarillo. Coming up on June 20th 6th Street will be heating up.

Admission: Free, Hamburger Cookoff - $10
Come on out and enjoy a day of checking out motorcycles and cars from every era. Plus shop the outdoor antique market, plus the live auction, raffle.
Plus live music from some really great bands including. Here's the schedule for the music and events.

3pm-3:45pm- Playa Lake
3:45-4:45 Food, Car & Motorcycle Show Awards
5pm-6pm Chancy Bernson Band
A hamburger cook-off will be taking place from 11am - 2pm and if you want to eat you can purchase wristbands for the hamburger cook-off for $10 each.
Partial proceeds from this bash will help San Jacinto Elementary School and the ACTS Community Project.
The Great Race

About 120 of some of the best antique cars will be pulling into Amarillo every minute as they travel from Kirkwood, MO, and will finish at the Santa Monica Pier, in California are taking part in The Great Race.
Bring the family out to check out these amazing cars and to talk to some of the folks traveling the great Rt. 66.
