British and Irish Lions Media SessionThe City of Amarillo has been cracking down on graffiti in the city and their efforts are paying off.

Almost two years ago the city started the "Take back the wall" campaign.  Part of the campaign includes graffiti removal for homes and businesses that request it.  The city has removed the illegal artwork from hundreds of buildings.  Teams made up of volunteers and city workers remove the graffiti.

Texas state law requires the city to remove graffiti at no cost to residents.  City officials hope the incentive will encourage people to report the crime, rather than ignore the nuisance.
