Flying Car Approved; To Be Cluttering Airways and Streets by 2013

George Jetson would be stoked.  The flying car has been approved by the US National Highway Safety Administration.

The car/plane has been described as Transformer-like.  It has wings that fold out for flight and back in to drive.

With a max highway speed of 62mph you should be fine for all but the largest of highways around.  But why drive when you can fly up to 115mph?

The Terrafugia Transition will set you back about $230,000.
