New York City Public Payphones Become Relics In Digital AgeA holiday weekend of buying, selling and trading was yours for the calling on last Saturday's Erwin Pawn Tradio Show.

It's the show where people buy and sell.  Classified ads on the radio.  We do it every Saturday from 9am to Noon.  It's free to participate but you do need a working telephone.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their items.  I had breakfast on the mind Saturday morning and specifically I was thinking about breakfast type breads.  I've always loved bagels but don't think much of English muffin's.  I was curious what our callers thought.

Bagel or English Muffin

Bagel 18

English Muffin 12

A pretty close vote and I found most people to definitely have a preference.  Not much ambiguity when it comes to breakfast bread.

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of the program I always bring you a special rule #6.  It is usually inspired by something that has happened to me over the previous week.

I noticed a couple of gas stations dropping prices to line inducing levels.  People were standing in line for 30 minutes or more to fill up on cheap gas.  It seems like the few cents per gallon you save is offset by the time you spent in line.  In fact if you payed yourself in wages with the gas savings you wouldn't be making minimum wage.

Rule #6: Cheap gas is overrated.

See you next Saturday for another Erwin Pawn Tradio Show.
