The scene was straight out of a classic Saturday-morning cartoon: After a robber took an undisclosed amount of money from a local CVS, he made a mad dash to a nearby laundromat.

As he ran, the pile of cash in his arms left a trail behind him, making it an easy catch for police officers.

Officers said they found the suspect at the laundromat, along with his gun, which he stashed away in a dryer.

According to patrons already inside the laundromat, the robber seemed suspicious. They claimed he ran into the facility, changed his shirt in the bathroom and walked out as if he were a customer himself.

So much for a clean getaway.
