City Of Amarillo Sending Out Notices On pH Meter Failure

Over the weekend of May 17th & 18th a meter that measures the pH of drinking water at the treatment plant failed.

The public was never in danger.  The water was treated properly.  Amarillo water customers will soon be receiving letter informing them of the meter failure.

The City states employees have received additional training on how to handle this situation should it arise again.
