The City of Amarillo is buying a new mobile immunization clinic.

The city commissioners have voted to purchase a mobile clinic for the Public Health Department.  The mobile clinic will be used to administer immunizations for adults.

The goal is to reduce the number of Potter and Randall county residents without insurance that go years without getting up to date immunizations.  The mobile clinic will be subsidized through a federal program.

The next step in the program is to set the perimeter of service for the mobile clinic.  It is expected the bus to appear at public venues and events to provide the most service as possible.
