Canyon ISD held a meeting last night to discuss storeing firearms and ammunition at schools in the district.
The school board discussed allowing two certified campus liaisons at Canyon High School and Canyon High School. The weaponry would be stored in a vault only accessible by the officers.
Safety for students and faculty are the reasons being given for the move.
