On December 30, Amarillo lost a local treasure. Local tattoo artist Kelly Fink passed away over the holidays.

Over the past few days, I've been listening to stories of those who were blessed by Kelly. She was known for her kindness and for her incredible art.

Kelly was nationally recognized for her art and had even been a finalist to appear on the 'Ink Masters' television series.

Several people, I know personally have had pieces done by Kelly. They've all told me how she made you feel more like a friend and less like a client when you spent time with her. She had a loving heart and will be missed dearly.

There will be a memorial service tomorrow (Jan. 3, 2019) at 11 AM.

There is a 'Benefit For Kelly Fink' taking place on January 11, 2019, at Zombies Bar & Grill. It begins at 6 PM and ends at midnight.

The event page on Facebook states;

We were blessed to have her in our lives. Let us come together to celebrate her life, and contribute to her legacy.

There will be a raffle along with live music. The event page does say that children are welcome to attend until 9 PM. There will be a $5 cover at the door.

For more information on the benefit, be sure to check out the Facebook event page to get in touch with organizers.
