APD Make Arrest In Truck Stop Fight

Early Monday morning, Amarillo police responded to a call regarding a fight that had taken place at the Pilot Truck Stop in the 700 block of Lakeside.

When officers arrived they found an assault victim.  The victim told police he paid for fuel and was walking back to his car when he was confronted by the assailant.  The man claimed the victim stole the car began to strike the victim in the face.  Three bystanders helped break up the fight.  The suspect fled on foot.

Police found a man matching the description of the suspect and found him shortly before 4am in the 8700 block of I-40.  The victim later positively identified the suspect.

30-year-old Thomas Allen Know was booked into Potter County for robbery.
