Amarillo Police Respond To Two Unrelated Armed Robberies Early Saturday Morning
Amarillo police were busy early Saturday morning working a couple of armed robberies.
The first happened around 3:20am at the Toot 'n Totum at 5409 Amarillo Boulevard East. A man entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded money. The robber fled the store on foot, heading east with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as a Hispanic male, about 5"7' to 5"10' tall, thin with a goatee and glasses. He was wearing a black T-shirt with large red and orange letters on the front and a hatchet man logo on the back.
The second incident happened at the Whataburger at 4111 SW 45th at around 4:30am. A man with a handgun and wearing a hockey mask brandished a gun and demanded money from the store employees. He left with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is a male, in navy coveralls with a white T-shirt underneath.
