Amarillo Adoptes Changes To Dangerous Animals Ordinance

The Amarillo City Council was in session yesterday and they approved changes to Amarillo's rules regarding the treatment of dangerous animals in the city limits.

The new rules help clarify when an animal is deemed dangerous and details rules for owners to get their pet off the list.  The city also approved changes that would allow the city to euthanize dangerous animals.

Other issues related to the changes include increased welfare checks on previously identified dangerous animals and sheltering rules.
