Towns all across the Texas have Christmas trees. Amarillo has a beautiful tree right downtown at the Civic Center. But if you stop on the square in Canyon, you are going to notice something a little different with the town's Christmas tree this year. That's because they have upgraded to a fully interactive, LED Christmas tree show. That's right, it's not just a huge tree, but a tree that puts on a show 7 nights a week now through Christmas.

The tree was a large investment for the city but one that is sure to delight everyone. It requires a sophisticated computer system and huge panels of LED lights to operate. Each night, starting at 5pm, the tree puts on a 30 minute, music synchronized show. Then the "Texas The Musical" train takes over with its own 30 minute show. Be sure to click on the video above to see if for yourself. But we will warn you, the video doesn't do it justice, you have to see it in person!

  • Where: The Square in Canyon, across from the Chamber of Commerce building
  • When: Every night now through December 31st. From 5pm to 10pm. First 30 minutes is the tree show, next 30 minutes is the train display.
