Wind Energy In Texas Panhandle Alive And Spinning

We've heard a lot of talk over the years about the coming proliferation of electricity generating wind farms to our area.  The time for talk is almost over.

An international mix of companies are set to spend $3.3 billion on wind farms in our area over the next two years.  Our area currently generates 1,500 megawatts of electricity by wind and with these upgrades plan to generate an additional 1,644 megawatts of energy.

Contracts have already been signed and transmission lines are almost done to sent the electricity to Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston.
