We love the Sod Poodles. We love Ruckus, we love Hodgetown, everything about it! Having the team in Amarillo has been great. But let's be real, there are still some people out there that don't like any of it, especially the name. It's no secret that Minor League team names tend to be funny, silly, goofy, even cheesy. Think of the Savannah Bananas, the Biloxi Shuckers, even the New Orleans Baby Cakes. But you can thank our lucky starts that we don't live in Wisconsin. The Milwaukee Brewers farm team, the Timber Rattlers, is temporarily changing it's name to the "Wisconsin Udder Tuggers." No joke.

June is dairy month, and on June 20th, the team wanted to salute the states' dairy heritage. The Udder Tuggers uniforms will feature shirts and caps with cow spots and "America's Dairyland" patches. They are calling the game #SaluteToCows night. Fans can purchase hats and t-shirts, and jerseys will be auctioned off for charity.

"We started Salute to Cows several years ago and it has been one of our biggest nights of every season. The dairy industry is still very important to the state of Wisconsin and the change to the Udder Tuggers for the night is our way to show support for the dairy industry and also a nod to the dairy farmers of the past," said Timber Rattlers president Rob Zerjav. "We hope our fans have fun with the new twist on the night."

Yes it is only temporary, but it makes all those other crazy team names seem just a little more sane, doesn't it?
