Verizon Outage In West Texas Due To Down Lines

If you are a customer of Verizon Wireless in the Texas Panhandle and surrounding areas, you probably noticed there was no service today. Down lines caused the outage from Amarillo to Lubbock and surrounding areas.

“They have located it, which is the hardest part, and they are out there repairing it,” said Jason Markham.

Internet and email services were not interrupted, but there were no incoming or outgoing calls or text messages. Verizon does not know the number of users affected, but calls came in all the way from Midland/Odessa.
