Two Incidents Involving Teenage Combatants Saturday

One man is in custody following two related youth brawls on Saturday.

Around 3:30pm on Saturday Amarillo Police were called to City View Elementary of a report of two individuals fighting in front of a large crowd of youths.  One of the children approached officers claiming to have been stabbed in the back.

Later around 6pm police were sent to a home in the 3500 block of Springfield on a report of another fight, this one a continuation of the one at City View.

According to police four vehicles with an unknown number of assailants attempted to break into the house but were held at bay by an armed homeowner.  At least two men were shot attempting to get into the house.

All parties involved in the shooting have been released pending an investigation.
