Trade-A-Thon, Gambling, And How Not To Set Your Alarm

On Saturday we brought buyers and sellers together for the first time in 2018.

It’s the show that invites you to call in and list for sale anything except guns and ammunition.  We do it Saturday mornings.  We call it Trade-A-Thon presented by Damron’s Pawn.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they make their listing.  It helps us get to know them better and provides a running stream of thought that ties all our calls together.

With Mega Millions and Powerball both in the stratosphere, it got us curious if you were a gambler or not.

Almost an even split.  I have been known to play the lottery, although rarely and not lately.

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of the program that we go over at the beginning of each hour, I also bring you a special Rule #6.  It changes every week and is usually inspired by something that happened to me the previous week.

We almost had a Trade-A-Thon tragedy Saturday morning.  Thanks to a wrongly set alarm, I woke up about 10 minutes before show time.  By the grace of God, I made it.  Although the show was a bit more loosey goosey than usual.

Rule #6 - Don't oversleep, don't mess up your alarm setting.
