Trade-A-Thon, Easter, & Bugs

Another Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon is behind us.

It's the weekly show that invites you to call in a list for sale the belongings you no longer need to get the money you do.  We do it every Saturday from 9-Noon.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their listing.  Sometimes out of left field, this week we stayed topical.  We are in the midst of our questions about Easter.  This week we wanted to know your preference between a couple of rabbits.

During the first two hours of the show Bugs was running away with it but the Easter Bunny recovered nicely during the third hour and finished strong.

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of the program that we go over at the beginning of each hour, I always bring you a special Rule #6.  It changes every week and is inspired by something that has happened to me previously.

Many, many years ago I participated in a city-wide Easter Egg hunt at a local park.  I had a good friend with me.  We did everything together, including looking for eggs.  We would point them out to each other.  "There's a blue one!", "There's a green one!:, "There's a blue one!"

Then I noticed one that I couldn't reach but my friend could.  I said, "Hey, there's a brown one!".

It was not an egg.  It was something a four legged visitor to the park had left previously.

Ever since I have lived my life by this rule.

Rule #6 Easter eggs are never brown.
