The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon Had A Good Summer
We closed out summer last Saturday on The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon. All agreed, it was a good summer.
The show that helps you turn your unwanted items into cash took to the airwaves again Saturday on a holiday weekend. They don't do the MDA telethon any longer but Trade-A-Thon is going strong.
THE BIG QUESTION
We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their items. With Labor Day being the unofficial end of summer we wanted to know if you had a good one.
Did you have a good summer?
A rare unanimous vote on the big question. Many cited the heavy rains during the early part of summer, others discussed the great late season weather, but all agreed, it was a good summer. We didn't get raked with hail and we had great weather with plenty of rain. It's hard to imagine a better summer than we had in 2015.
Along with the regular rules of the program I always bring you a special rule #6. It is usually inspired by something that has happened to me over the previous week. This week a heated discussion with my daughter provided the inspiration.
We had a disagreement and many heated words were exchanged. It was not a good time for anyone. We did finally get things straightened out and I said something which we both felt would be a good rule for you.
Rule #6 When we speak from hurt, we try to hurt. Think before you say something you can't take back.
Yep, it was pretty ugly.
See you this Saturday for another Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon!
