Running in tandem with the Texas State Warrant Roundup, Amarillo Police are doing their part to address the outstanding Municipal Court arrest warrants.

The Warrant Round-up started in Amarillo last month with notices being mailed out to people with warrants.  Over 3000 of the 36,000 warrants have been cleared since that effort started.

Yesterday, the APD turned it up a notch and began visiting businesses and homes looking for the remaining 33,000.  If no one is home at the time of the visit, officers will leave a red tag on the door informing the warrant holder of the urgent need to resolve the warrant.

Municipal Court is open Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm and on Thursdays the court stays open until 7pm.
