Texas Tech Announces Veterinary School In Amarillo

There is a shortage of vets and very few opportunities in our area to study to be one.

University officials are pushing for the school due to demand for vets in our area.  Currently there are only two schools that offer the program, at Texas A&M and a school in Oklahoma.

The next step towards the goal of building the program here and that is petitioning the legislature to approve funding for the program in 2017.
