Sunday afternoon the DPS showed they can turn a traffic stop into much more, even on the Sabbath.

Drug traffickers do not take Sundays off.  Neither does the DPS.  The two ran into each other Sunday on I-40.

It was a regular traffic stop in the beginning.  The DPS pulled over a 2006 Ford F-150 near Conway in Carson County for a traffic violation.  During the stop the trooper discovered five bundles of contraband marijuana.  The driver was identified as Jack Andrew Oleson, 62, hailing from Ramona, California.

Oleson was arrested for possession over five pounds but less than 50, still a third degree felony.  He was booked into the Carson County jail.

He was allegedly on his way to Winchester, Kentucky from Ramona.
