Alcohol, tobacco and drugs have a new friend.  The family destroying scourge known as sugar.

A team at UCSF published a paper in Nature this week, claiming sugar is a toxic, addictive substance that should be regulated by the government, and even banned when it come to children.

The authors say sugar alters body biochemistry, making it vulnerable to chronic illness.  If people don't gain weight from consuming too much sugar, they still end up with chronic health problems.

We consume around 22 teaspoons of sugar per day, three times the amount as 30 years ago.

The next time you are buying your drugs, ask your dealer what he can do for you on sugar prices.  He may be your source in the future.
