Slow-Motion Police Chase in Texas Lasts Over Two Hours
According to Fox 4 News, 42-year-old Joe Gonzales just got out of prison and has an extensive record, but it's still not known what started the slow-motion pursuit in Arlington.
The report says speed got as low as 5 mph on I-30 Wednesday as Gonzales was playing a cat-and-mouse game with the police. Finally after a couple hours, a SWAT truck rammed the white sedan and caused it to crash. Police were finally able to apprehend him after that.
The report goes on to say that the car that Gonzales was driving belongs to his aunt, who was with police negotiators that were on the phone with the him during the chase.
Gonzales criminal history includes convictions of unlawful carrying weapon, driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance and aggravated robbery.
